The Misadventures of James Part 2

We were having a great morning.  I did tummy time with Natalie.  I played blocks with James.  I played Barbies with Alyssa.  There was a load of laundry in the dryer.  Lunch was on the stove.  Things were going nice and smooth. 

And then it all falls apart.  James falls and busts his lip.  Alyssa fed the one surviving fish enough food for a year.  Natalie is now hungry.  I'm rushing to finish up lunch so I can sit down and feed Natalie. 

 I look over at the swing where she was peacefully rocking and see her brother try to give her a binkie.  That is so sweet!  I go over to praise him for being so sweet and gentle with his baby sister. 

What's this in his hand?  Not a binkie!  It's a stamper!

While the Cat's Away

While Jonny and Alyssa were in El Paso, Kiki, James, Natalie and I went to the Aquarium.  James is a little obsessed with fish.  I knew he would flip seeing all the fish.  And I was right!  He was in fish heaven. 

Every single exhibit was met with a "Whoa!"  and left with a "Bye Bye Fish.  Muah!"  He even touched a ray and horseshoe crab.  I had to keep him from jumping in!

I loved watching his little mind be blown time and time again.  After 4 hours we had to drag him away just so we could get home before rush hour traffic.  I loved that it was all for James and how much he truly loved every minute of it.

Leavin on a Jet Plane

Jonny and Alyssa made a trip to El Paso for Jake's graduation.  Ally got to take her first plane trip.  She actually got on 3 planes!  I was worried she would be terrified and never want to get on another plane.  I could not have been more wrong!  She absolutely loved the plane.  I'm so excited that she got to experience this so young.  Now, she can go anywhere.  There is nothing holding her back.  I'm also very happy that Jonny and Alyssa got to represent our family for Jake's graduation.  I just wish there was a way we all could've made it.

My Tiny Dancer

Alyssa's first dance recital was May 18th.  I (of course) thought she was brilliant.  She had a little stage fright, but pushed through and danced til the very end.  Her class performed two numbers, Spoonful of Sugar and Teddy Bear.  Sadly, a battery decided to leak and burn through my camera so, I only have a few pictures.  I am very proud of my little girl.
