...and a Happy New Year

Every year on New Year's Eve we make homemade pizzas, have family movie night, and then have a sleepover in the living room.  The movie and sleepover started when Alyssa was little because she was afraid of the fireworks.  Now, it's tradition and we love it!

Leaving reindeer food.

Cookies for Santa, Carrots for Alyssa, and bedtime for Natalie

Santa brought James a dino play mat.

Natalie got a rocking horse.

And Alyssa got a bow and arrow set.

Life is a little happier by the beach.

After Thanksgiving we lucky enough to spend the weekend in Galveston with Papa, Kiki, Uncle Tony, and Aunt Devan.  It was so nice to relax, spend time with family, eat good food, play games, walk on the beach.

Alyssa was the most patient fisherman.  She would've sat on the dock for days waiting for a nibble.  She also tried her hand with the crab trap and then showed me the "herds" of fish in the water.

We always save the crusts of bread to feed the seagulls.  Usually, they come in droves, but for some reason there were only a few that day.  It didn't stop the kiddos from having fun.
